How to Run Your First Tee Giveaway in a Weekend

You don't need a month of planning to run a good giveaway. You need one clear prize, one clear page and one reason for people to share. Here is a plan you can finish in a single weekend.

Friday evening: decide what you're giving away

Pick one product, not a bundle. A single tee with a design your audience already likes beats a "mystery box" every time, because people can picture themselves wearing it.

Then decide three numbers:

  • How many winners. Three to five is a good start. More winners means better odds, and better odds means more entries.
  • How long it runs. Two to four weeks. Shorter feels urgent; longer gives sharing time to work.
  • Who can enter. Keep it simple: open worldwide, 13+, one entry per email.

Saturday morning: make the design

If you already have artwork, upload it. If not, generate a few options in the Design Studio and pick the one that reads clearly at phone size. Bold shapes and two or three colors print best and look best in a thumbnail.

Put the design on a mockup so visitors see the real product, not a flat graphic. That photo becomes your cover image and your share image.

Saturday afternoon: write the page

Your giveaway page needs four things:

  1. A title that says what they win. "Win the Sunset Skater Tee" beats "Summer Giveaway".
  2. Two or three sentences of description. What it is, why it's special, how many winners.
  3. Short rules. Eligibility, end date, how winners are picked.
  4. A tiny form. Name, email and size. Every extra field costs you entries.

Pick a page style that matches your brand. Preview it on a phone before you publish; most of your visitors will be on one.

Saturday evening: switch on referrals

Referrals turn every entrant into a promoter. Give each friend who enters through someone's link one bonus entry for the person who shared. Entrants see their own link and their bonus count right after entering, so they know sharing worked.

Add an entry reward, like a 10% shop code, so even people who don't win leave with something.

Sunday: launch and share

Publish the giveaway, then post it where your audience already is: your Instagram story, a pinned post, your newsletter, your Discord. Post once at launch, once midway and once in the final 48 hours, the last push usually brings the most entries.

After it ends

Winners are drawn automatically when the giveaway ends. They get an email with a link to claim the prize and enter their shipping address, and the shirt is printed and shipped for you. Thank everyone who entered and tell them when the next drop is.

That's it. One weekend, one tee, and a list of real fans at the end of it.

Ready to try it? Start your first campaign and have it live by Sunday night.
